WHAT IS A WAITING LIST ?
If you've fallen in love with my cats and want to offer a cozy and caring home to a kitten, you can follow the cattery on social media to spot available kittens and/or submit a kitten application. To ensure you get your dream kitten, you can also apply to join my waiting list. Families on the list are informed about available kittens as a priority, giving you the opportunity for first choice and reservation. There is a non-refundable fee of 100€ to be added to the list, which is deductible from the final price at the time of purchase.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After your kitten is selected, I will send you the official Kitten Reservation Contract to complete, and at this point, the deposit for reservation (generally half the price) is due. The kitten is not reserved until the deposit is received. The balance (price minus deposit for reservation minus waiting list fee) is due one week before collecting the kitten.
WHAT IF I DON'T WANT ANY OF THE AVAILABLE KITTENS ?
The waitlist deposit will be transferred to the next litter, and your name will remain on my list. Each family can pass on up to 3 kitten propositions with chosen characteristics (color & gender) before your deposit is forfeited and your name is removed from the list. This ensures that someone does not hold the first spot on our list for an extended period or have individuals who are not committed to getting a kitten. If you are waiting for a kitten with very specific characteristics, please keep in mind that I cannot influence Mother Nature to produce your dream kitten in the very next litter. There is no guarantee as to what colors will appear in each litter; there are only scientifically calculated probabilities. If no kitten with the desired characteristics is born within 2 years, the waiting list fee will be refunded.
WHY ARE THE WAITING LIST FEE AND THE RESERVATION FEE NON-REFUNDABLE ?
Outre la passion pour l'élevage de chats de race, j'ai aussi un travail et une famille. Je passe beaucoup de temps à évaluer et à communiquer avec les futurs adoptants potentiels. Les frais d’inscription sur la liste d’attente et les arrhes lors de la réservation sont payés pour signifier votre engagement à obtenir un chaton Nemausus, ainsi que pour réserver un chaton spécifique pour vous. En d'autres termes, cela permet de filtrer les familles sérieusement intéressées des curieux qui ne le sont pas. Si vous renoncez à obtenir un chaton, ce chaton a manqué d'autres adoptants potentiels. Enfin, posséder un animal est une décision qui implique une responsabilité pouvant aller jusqu’à 20 ans et ne doit pas être prise à la légère.

HOW DOES THE KITTEN SELECTION PROCESS WORK ?
Once pregnancy is confirmed, I will contact all families on my waiting list and provide you with an estimated due date. After the kittens are born, I will send out initial photos, genders, and colors. Kitten selection will take place before the kittens are 6 weeks old; after that, kittens will be made available to the general public.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Please fill out the "Apply for a Kitten" Google Form to provide me with basic information. In case of any difficulties, send an email to nemausus.cats@gmail.com. I will respond to any questions you may have, and once you're sure about adopting a purring Nemausus kitten, you will receive an invoice for your waiting list fee by email.
WHEN WILL I GET MY KITTEN ?
If you are waiting for a future litter that has not yet been born, please keep in mind that there is a two-month gestation period after a successful mating, followed by a three-month period during which the kitten is with us and being raised by his/her mother. So you are looking at a minimum of 5 months in such a case before you will be taking your kitten home. This is a reasonable period to properly prepare for the arrival of your new family member.
DNA
The parents undergo a DNA test for the genetic disease PKD1, screening for HCM and an FIV/FeLV test.
